Location: Reno, NV, USA
The city of Reno had an immediate need for two separate fire stations and a limited budget. The Vision Building Systems solution involved combining our engineered steel and fabric structure with a pre-fabricated command center and housing unit allowing rapid construction. Our structure houses ladder and pumper trucks, turn out rooms and storage, fitness area and other ancillary equipment. The strength of our steel frame provided support to hang systems and equipment from the structure, in a fully insulated and conditioned space for year round comfort in the high elevation climate of Reno. The station is fully scalable to add engines and storage as future demand may dictate.
The structures can house:
(1) 60' command center
(1) 50' truck with (100ft ladder)
(3) 30' Engines (500 - 700 gallons of water)
19' x 20' gymnasium breezeway connecting the portable housing unit to the main fabric structure.
Fully conditioned space with heating and cooling system.
